Each piece is beautifully decorated with embossed scrolls, flowers and foliage, refer to photographs. Tea pot with wooden handle with carved thumb hold and wooden finial. This is a presentation Victorian Sterling Silver Bachelor Tea Set awarded as 1st Prize to the winner of the Lady's Driving Competition won by Mrs Christine with Belle, Ranelagh 1895. Age/Date:- Each piece of this English silver bachelor tea set has matching full English sterling silver hallmarks for Sheffield 1894 and with makers mark, refer to photographs. Silversmith/Maker:- Each piece of this English silver bachelor tea set has matching makers mark "HH" for Harrison Brothers & Howson, a listed English silversmith. Approx. Measurements & Weight:- Tea Pot:- Approx. measurements, height 4¾", length from handle to end of spout 8". Approx. weight 8oz (regular oz). Sugar Bowl:- Approx. measurements, height 3", length from handle to handle 5½", width 2?". Approx. weight 4oz (regular oz). Cream Jug:- Approx. measurements, height 2?", length from handle to end of spout 4". Approx. weight 2oz (regular oz). Overall combined total weight approx. 14oz (regular oz). Signatures & Marks:- All three pieces of this English Victorian silver bachelor tea set have matching full clear English sterling silver hallmarks for Sheffield 1894 and makers mark "HH" for Harrison Brothers & Howson. Refer to photographs. Engraving/Inscriptions:- Each piece has engraved emblem of bird rising within pair of wings in center of scroll cartouche, also engraved "Ranelagh 1895". The tea pot with inscription on the lid "Lady's Driving Competition 1st Prize Won By Mrs Christine with Belle". Refer to photographs. Condition:- This English Victoria Silver Bachelor Tea Set was part of a private collect having been in storage for many years. The set is in overall excellent condition with wear consistent with use for a piece from this age period. Note - This tea set has not been polished as preferred by collectors. Refer to photographs.
